Korona di Kristu

Another local name for this tree is: " Lamoenchi shimaron ".
In English called "Thorn tree" or "Jericho balsam".
It's easy to find this tree in the forests.
You don't see this tree in Bonaire nor Aruba.
It has large and strong thorns.
It seems that Jesus thorn-crown was made of this tree.
The tree can grow up to 4 meters.
Leaves are very tough, flowers are small yellow/green coloured
and grows in small groups.

USE:
The fruits are edible but doesn't taste that good.
Rats love these fruits.
They extract oil from the fruits as cooking-oil or ointment on skin.
